With the North Korea artillery strikes on the South Korean island, Yeonpyeong Island, which is near the border between North/South Korea. The attack killed 2 South Korean soldiers, injuring 3 more soldiers and 16 civilians. Since the end of the Korean War no attacks have been made towards civilians. This attack put South Korean military on the highest alert it has and said if there was another attack that there would be severe consequences for North Korea.
I think that with all the threats going back between North and South Korea that we are going to have another "War of the Pacific." With the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan, the thing that we do not need anymore of is the deploying of more troops. If we get into this conflict, we could end up with another draft on our hands.
