Diversity!

Usually when I blog I talk all about different experiences from other people and sometimes from me. Today I'm going to talk about diversity. This week I have met at least 20 people from at least 20 different countries. I haven't been able to really talk to them because my voice has been gone but I've seen many conversations between many different countries. I played soccer with a student from Paraguay, pretended to box against an Italian, and talked about food with a Japanese student who looks totally American but has never lived in the U.S.
In a play that I just watched with these types of students and many more. Some of them that have lived in so many places but have lived in the states are in this play. There was a skit in the play saying that the U.S. has many different languages such as slang from Boston, New Mexico, California, and Wisconsin. In the play the representation of the states made me realize all the pathetic events that are happening in the U.S.
I just think in the long run we never should stereotype and be open to all experiences.
"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands," Revelation 7:9 on diversity
