Convoluted Condition of California's Marijuana

Proposition 19: legalizing and taxing weed.

This Proposition was denied. Meical marijuana is a billion dollar business and the growers say, why mess with success? 3.4 million Californians stocked up on marijuana in 2008; daily, about 400,000 people smoke marijuana. Legalizing weed would have brought about angry growers and would have caused a huge revolt. Studies analyze the amount of stoned nurses and doctors at local hospitals. Also, future citizens fear for road safety as pot drivers are let loose. California can no long pay for weed with their debit cards.
