Here is what a typical teenage boy will do during a day. Get up, get dressed, (if he gets up early enough) go play video games, go to school, get home, then he will have to decide what he will want to do either his homework or video games first. Most will probably choose video games over their homework if they don't have a lot to do. If he does have a lot of homework a wise boy will do his homework and then play video games. Some teenage boys probably will play video games until 10 or 11 o'clock at night. Some might even go on to play past midnight. Most teenage boys will be sleep deprieved if they are up late playing video games.

Snow has Arrived!
Snow has finally arrived on Orcas Island . Last week at my house I got 6 inches of snow; it was very fun to sled down my hill. Snow gives the holidays a more magical feel; it just makes everything more fun to do. But also more challenging to drive in, oh well the snow makes school late at least! I hope that it snows more this holiday season; it is a joy to all the children and families. Snow can bring families together when we normally wouldn’t get to see each other. Maybe your dad won't have to go to work and everyone can just go build a snowman, or have a good old fashion snowball fight. So go out in the snow, enjoy it while it lasts, it’s only a couple weeks out of the year we get it. Make the most of it and don’t be a Scrooge!

War in the Pacific again maybe??????
With the North Korea artillery strikes on the South Korean island, Yeonpyeong Island, which is near the border between North/South Korea. The attack killed 2 South Korean soldiers, injuring 3 more soldiers and 16 civilians. Since the end of the Korean War no attacks have been made towards civilians. This attack put South Korean military on the highest alert it has and said if there was another attack that there would be severe consequences for North Korea.
I think that with all the threats going back between North and South Korea that we are going to have another "War of the Pacific." With the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan, the thing that we do not need anymore of is the deploying of more troops. If we get into this conflict, we could end up with another draft on our hands.
Here are some possible draft candidates if we were to have another "War of the Pacific".

Liam Nutt aka Viktor Reznov |
Grant Slavens aka Jason Hudson |
Ping Pong Ladder
What game is this?
Last year, the high school developed a Ping-Pong ladder to determine who was the champion of the table. Now we will create another one this year and determine the champ. Most freshmen joined the ladder for ping pong, and they joined a Foosball tournament as well. Want to improve your skills at Ping-Pong and Foosball, why not join the ladders and start having some fun?
The first competitors: Sierra and Aliviah!!!!!

Diversity!
Usually when I blog I talk all about different experiences from other people and sometimes from me. Today I'm going to talk about diversity. This week I have met at least 20 people from at least 20 different countries. I haven't been able to really talk to them because my voice has been gone but I've seen many conversations between many different countries. I played soccer with a student from Paraguay, pretended to box against an Italian, and talked about food with a Japanese student who looks totally American but has never lived in the U.S.
In a play that I just watched with these types of students and many more. Some of them that have lived in so many places but have lived in the states are in this play. There was a skit in the play saying that the U.S. has many different languages such as slang from Boston, New Mexico, California, and Wisconsin. In the play the representation of the states made me realize all the pathetic events that are happening in the U.S.
I just think in the long run we never should stereotype and be open to all experiences.
"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands," Revelation 7:9 on diversity

Christmas Time is Here!
The season we've all been waiting for Christmas! Everybody loves Christmas, the shopping, the eating, the songs, all the overindulging. People seem to think of Christmas as a season to go all out, who can get the nicest and biggest gifts. Heres a common conversation: Wife #1: “My husband is getting me a $9,000 diamond ring”. Wife #2 “Well my husband is getting me a BMW convertible”. That shows how people during the Christmas season are so concerned with material possessions. Sure I’m just like any other kid at Christmas; I want to get my fair share of loot. But I am just trying to get the message out that people need to care for others that are in need more then themselves. So this season maybe you should help at a food bank, give to a homeless person, or just be a friend to someone that is alone. That is what will make the Christmas season truly magical.

Turkey and Stuffing? Uh-uh
The same old traditions of eating turkey and stuffing at thanksgiving is great, but it gets a little old doesn't it? Let me tell you what I had for a thanksgiving dinner. My parents were searching the Food Network channel for recipes during thanksgiving time, and guess what we found? Our traditional green bean caserole is out of this world, plus a precut ham, fried, and homemade cornbread with melted butter. We also had breaded garlic potatoes and sparkling shirley temples. So, if you want to go out of tradition with a thanksgiving dinner, from the turkey and stuffing, then experiment on the Web or explore the Food Network channel for ideas.

Happy Thanksgiving
Dear God,
Thank you so much for this wonderful Thanksgiving Day! Thank you so much for my warm bed, lots of food to eat, parents who drive me around, parents who provide me with the clothes needed to make it in this society, a job at a Christian School, heat in the buildings, a copy machine that works, two cars, my wife and children, a loving pet, my paint ball gun, the computer I'm using for this moment of thankfulness, my Christmas gifts that are on the way, the snow, the new video games that just came out, the choice of three warm jackets that my parents have provided, my new ski equipment, my friends that I get to hang out with, my friends in the church who I've bonded with, the 14 Bibles in my home bookshelf, the 51 Bibles in my classroom, all the food at the high school thanksgiving feast on Wednesday, for my savings account, for the warm fire I'm staring at between blog thoughts, and for this country that allows me the freedom to think, worship, own guns, and to carry a weapon to protect myself as I travel about this great land.
Oh! Also, please, be with the people who won't be having a wonderful thanksgiving. And please send someone to help them, with food, warm clothes, and whatever else you think they might need.
Thanks again,
Roger Maris

Convoluted Condition of California's Marijuana
Proposition 19: legalizing and taxing weed.
This Proposition was denied. Meical marijuana is a billion dollar business and the growers say, why mess with success? 3.4 million Californians stocked up on marijuana in 2008; daily, about 400,000 people smoke marijuana. Legalizing weed would have brought about angry growers and would have caused a huge revolt. Studies analyze the amount of stoned nurses and doctors at local hospitals. Also, future citizens fear for road safety as pot drivers are let loose. California can no long pay for weed with their debit cards.

The Power of Change
Today at around noon I took a walk around town. I'm not on Orcas and I'm not where you could even think of the place that I'm located. I took a walk around the downtown of Las Vegas. Vegas Baby!
Except where I am has about a population of 50 people and barely qualifies as a town. I'm in Las Vegas, New Mexico. This place is a five minute drive from a home of 208 kids from 77 different countries. I'm talking about the United World College of the United States. I won't talk about my experience on meeting these students and hearing their stories. I'm going to talk about the town.
Downtown Las Vegas, New Mexico |
My Dad and I thought that if we picked the most random place and the world we would end up here. The town is not much more than a couple of stores and roads. If you've ever seen the movie Cars its like that town only Las Vegas, New Mexico has history to it. This town was the one of the most frequently traveled trading posts while on the Santa Fe trail. The Santa Fe trail was like the Lewis and Clark trail but not as glorified. The main road through town was actually the Santa Fe trail.
This town has some of the richest history in the West but is one of the most abandoned towns I've ever seen. Why? The power of change. There is a Walmart about 10 minutes from here and now all the jobs and joy in this town has just left. Don't take this the wrong way, progress is great, and I know that I couldn't survive without Costco. Progress is good but we always have to remember the little things. For example besides this town, we get a new, better video game or doll and just ignore the other one. We need to remember the smaller things of life and not just use the bigger and better ones.
Why do you think God creates thorns on Roses and cripples? He creates them because He needs us to comfort and help them and not just ignore them.

Giving and Receiving
If you notice one thing about our "complicated and troubled lives" everything turns out right. There are some lives that are made hard by God and those are the ones we need to help. For example my sister goes to school with one kid who grew up in some part of Africa. The only reason that person is at college is because somebody gave only $1.50 a day to send someone in the family to school. The family chose the oldest boy. The boy was transported into the nearest city to study about 10 hours a day. He is now studying hard at college and will attend an Ivy league school in a year or two.
Only $1.50 a day! That's only about the price of a Snickers bar on the ferry. My sister was talking to him and he said he would get whipped if he did something wrong! She replied "Thats terrible! Why did they do that?" he laughs, then turns serious "Why is that bad?"
Here's the quote of the day and the rest of his response...
"It tought me responsibility"
So, back to the turning out even subject. Wait why ruin this beautiful set up for a spiritual example of what we all should be doing this time of the year.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD!
To start off, sorry I haven't really stayed on topic there's just not much to do on a plane to New Mexico but a lot of things are going through my mind. If I stayed on topic it wouldn't have been as exciting. Okay, now I will talk about
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD!
I will start off by saying if you haven't given anything yet then you need to start focusing. ONLY YOU can change lives! To be honest it's you, 4 billion other people on this earth, and God. I will share some facts about why the other percentage of earth can't in the next blog but I'll try to stay on topic for this subject.
Okay, I will stay focused. If your one of the energetic high school students who walk to town at lunch then ask your parents for an extra dollar and go by the pharmacy and but a little Barbie or something exciting like that.
This blog is getting lengthy so I will stop here and leave you with this thought...
The holidays are coming and we should be giving but we are so lazy with are gifts? *comment box below*

Its The Weekend!
Ah at last the weekend, everything this week builds up to this point. The weekend is a time that everyone looks forward to, social events, athletics, and time with the family is all spent during the weekend. It’s the only thing that gets some people through school or their jobs; it’s that thing to look forward to. Without the weekend our country might actually implode! So relax kickback and have some free time. What will you do this weekend? Watch football, basketball, movies, go for a hike, all of the above? It’s up to you! And that’s the best part about it. Have fun and be safe.

Five Things You Shouldn't Say to Women
1. You have big feet.
Why, thank you so much. I never thought of that before. In fact, I guess now you can sleep on the floor because my big feet have made reservations to kick your butt off the bed. Wow, that's bad...
2. You should change your hair, clothes, makeup.
Women want to feel beautiful, not judged. If there is something about the woman that really needs to be changed, put it in a gentle matter.
3. Your books, movies, etc. are dumb.
Women like to feel secure and accepted. Putting down a woman's interests is a negative judgement directly onto the woman. The majority of women run on emotions, so don't say you hate her hobbies because those things will make her feel upset, disliked, or rejected.
4. You should go do something girly.
Telling a woman that she should be tying ribbons in her hair rather than getting involved in big things is extremely demeaning. Support the woman’s efforts to achieve bigger and better things. If she likes football, take her to a football game once in a while. If she wants to be the house handy-woman, then let her. Don’t hinder women with this question.
5. You're overreacting.
Women don't want to hear this from their date or husband. This will just make the woman more ticked off and make her want to hit something...really hard...like you! So don't say this to a woman.

For Love of the Game
Ah yes the glory of football. The hard hits that break bones, the helmet to helmet hits that make that sound we all love. Alas we love football for the hits, the gladiator style of play. All towns have their high school football team. We as Orcas have the Vikings, the islanders are very loyal fans. The team that everyone can be a part of, the dads get to relive their old glory days of football through their sons, the girls get to have a football player as their boyfriend (a status symbol in high school), the boys well everyone looks up to them, they are the kings of the school. Everyone is happy, but no one recalls or much less cares of the flag football team, most don’t even know they exist. They are just a bunch of misfits, consisted of graduates, injured former Vikings players, those that are not old enough to play Vikings, some that wish to just play flag football. So why should anyone care of what they do, they do not wish to be mentioned, they do not care if people know that they exist. All they care about is playing a form of the game they love, whatever others may say about them they put aside, because what it all comes down to is having fun. It’s for the love of the game, it’s being part of a team that puts aside their differences and comes together as one on the field. In the 2010 OCS flag football season our team did just that. We went unnoticed, not being able to play a home game; we had a great year though, one that I will never forget, filled with wonderful memories. For that is what football is all about.

Another Chance?
If you've noticed the U.S.A. World Cup soccer team hasn't been producing in the recent World Cups. We either don't qualify for the play-offs or don't even make it to the World Cup. This past year during the World Cup the U.S. once again didn't do as well as they should've. The U.S. just played the World Cup team from South Africa on the 16th of November. The U.S. played most of their younger stars to see how they will improve or play in the 2014 Brazilian World Cup. The match was only for fun but the younger stars of the United States still beat the South African team.
Let's hope so.

Its official Michael Vick is Back!
Michael Vick has taken the NFL by storm; he is a potential MVP candidate and the most exciting player to watch in the NFL. He had 6 combined touchdowns in Monday Night football this week, and his performance is said to be a top 5 ever by a quarterback. People forget that football players are just regular people that deserve a second chance in life. Michael Vick went to jail for 2 years, he lost everything, his career, his family, his possessions, his money and the life he worked for. Still people sent him hate mail and called him a cold blooded killer, day in day out he took it, never complaining, never giving up, and never backing down. Sure there were probably days when it was too much, days that it felt like he would be disgraced and hated forever. Michaels parents had him when they were teenagers, they had to work hard to support the family. Michael Vick didn’t have it easy as a kid; he grew up in a cruel dark town with regular drive-by shootings and drug deals. His parents weren’t at home much, both worked 2 jobs. Michaels only escape from the hood and his life was athletics. He excelled in all sports and people knew he was special. He made it to college football and later was the 1st pick in the 2001 NFL draft. Michael was a great athlete and played quarterback like no one had ever seen. He had never had money so when he signed that big contract he bought what he thought rich people were supposed to have; big houses and fancy cars. He was playing on a fairly bad team but made do with what he had. His career was going great until in 2007 he was convicted of dog fighting. He was sent to prison for 2 years and filed for bankruptcy after all his sponsors and his salary was taken away. Yes dog fighting is a very serious crime, Michael Vick had been funding the dog fighting ring for a while. Now what most people don’t understand is that part of the poor southern ghetto culture is dog fighting, people down there don’t think twice about it, its always been done, its just another way to gamble. When I was in Kentucky during the spring a man showed me his prize fighting dog like it was a prize possession. Dog fighting is bad to us “civilized” people but down south it’s just as common as having a barbeque with the neighbors, friends and family come to see if the dog they bet on will win. This is not right but it is the way it is, if you want to change it go ahead. Now that I’ve explained how dog fighting is bad, did you ever think about the things everyone does that isn’t actually moral? If you go eat veal at a fancy restaurant with your family that’s just fine; eating a baby cow is not a bad thing? I suppose its just food for us “civilized” people. Well I say that Michael Vick has paid for his crime and deserves to play football just as much as a painter deserves to paint again after he is released from prison. I hope that people can just forgive others just as they wish they could be forgiven if they were in the same situation. So here’s to Michael Vick, good job coming back and never giving up, you’ve earned this second chance.
Weather Woman
Looks like we're in for a cold front this winter.
A few years back, we had a huge blizzard of snow that blanketed most of Orcas and caused trees to fall in various areas. Power went out for a couple nights and the temperature dropped below 35 degrees. Candles served their purpose in my household on the chilling nights, and the comfort of a wood fireplace kept us toasty warm throughout the evening. Weather statements on Orcas are now saying that snow is headed our way this weekend, supposedly starting in the afternoon of Sunday and into the early week. If you own a wood fireplace, advice would be to stock up on wood and buy a few candles. For my family, it has always been a tradition to sit around the candlelight and play board games when the power dies.
Here are some of the joys of winter:
-Enjoy the warmth of a fireplace
-Play games by candlelight
-Hide and seek
-Peppermint hot chocolate
-Snowball fight
-Snowman
-Snow angels
-Sledding
-Frosted pictures
There are many things to keep yourself occupied.

What I'm Doing Tommorrow
Tomorrow, my family and I will be leaving on the 12:15 boat to Anacortes. One might ask why we are leaving then. We are going to go see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. I think it is really neat when you get to see a movie the day it comes out, but it is not as cool as seeing it at midnight. I will be giving you my opinions on how good the movie is afterI have seen the movie.
After we have seen the movie, I will be getting Call of Duty: Black Ops. This game is the newest of the Call of Duty series and is the best ever I have heard from my friends. I have been waiting to get the game since the news that it was being made came out to the public. This game takes place during the Cold War, and all of the missions are top secret.

Orcas Has Its Own "Starbucks"
What's the place everyone goes to when they want treats, coffee, or just to hang out and have a good time during lunch? I know a place on Orcas, and it's called Teezer's. This coffee shop serves up just about anything from vanilla steamers to iced caramel mocha's. Assorted flavors are scattered all over the menu for drinks and teezer freezers, my personal favorite being hazelnut. My usual visits to Teezer's include white chocolate chip cookies and iced caramel mocha's from the cheerful workers-sometimes I have lemon squares. This place isn't just for kids, adults come on lunch breaks to this hot spot to enjoy a cup of coffee with old friends. To island folk, this serves as a great substitute for off island espresso shops. -Mastermind
Answer to Life
I was asked on Monday in worship to summarize the Bible in a sentence. Some people said John 3:16 someone else said John 3:17. If someone really asked us that question we would probably joke around it or dodge it. I was thinking last night what Jesus' intentions really were when the Bible was writen. He wanted the Bible as a guideline for what our lives should be.
Some translations nowadays have even left out some verses in the bible about speaking in different languages and other things. I could judge them about how all verses in the Bible should be kept in no matter what they say. If the Bible should be a guideline for our life then we must have a pretty distorted image of what the Bible says then. Some of the people these days kill others for a excuse to be a hero. Some take animals and shove food down their throats so they taste better, and some even can be a model human and does one thing wrong and people look like him like he's a disgrace to the community.
I wish we could all just be like Jesus. I'll leave you with this thought...
Why does God allow sin?
To summarize what the Bible is in 4 words...

Does Jesus Watch Soccer?
This title isn't really relevant to the blog but it can be. We all see or hear things in our lives that gives us a motivational boost from our daily routine. For example, I just watched a movie named Goal II and I loved it. It gave me a little burst from the dreary routine of school, then sports, then homework, then bed. It made me think of changing my routine a little bit. It could be as simple as waking up 10 minutes or decide to learn a new language apart from my daily learnings. I have a good idea for us.
I ask a lot of questions. I hope your asking "Midshipman, how does this relate to changing our ways?" If your not try some coffee to wake up so you can read this blog.
Well, my dear readers I've tried to do this everyday but if you ask yourself a question in the morning and try to figure it out by the end of the day. Tomorrow I'm going to figure out if Jesus ever watched or played soccer. It is a silly question but it keeps me going. If you try it maybe it will work for you. Step out of the box. I encourage you to try something new.

last blog for today
I think this will be my last for today but I'm not sure what to write about. I can think of a million things to write about though I think I'm just lazy. Oh well I might just talk about what I'm blogging about now... which is nothing. The barefoot bandit was captured awhile ago and just recently indicted on one charge has faces up to 10 years in prison, how exciting. And I'm sorry Mr. Worley but he does not deserve to have his name capitalized although it would be correct grammar and I'm pretty sure I've wasted more energy telling you this than just fixing it but I felt like arguing because I'm conservative. In other news I guess we have a new speaker of the house and he is a conservative that apparently like to cry a lot. I also had to fight with Sprint to get a new phone but I dont really think I want to talk about that now. In fact I'm going to end this blog and say bye pretty soon. Bye bye
Bloggedy blog blog why blog
WARNING: THIS BLOG MAY BE CONSIDERED INSENSTIVE TO PEOPLE WHO LIKE SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES AND BLOGGING.
What is the point of blogging? what do you do? just rant on and on about something you like or dislike. Im trying to figure out why anyone would actually care to read it either. I think all social networking sites are a counter productive waste of time. People just go on and on and on about the entire life story becuase they can be drama queens and freak out because someone did or didn't click the like button. If you are reading this you are probably wasting time becuase its more than three lines long and come on I highly doubt this or most other blogs will be life changing. So fellow readers I strongly encourage you to close your computer and go outside and get a life, maybe talk to someone...in person. If facebook just happened to crash tomorrow and never come back people would be devastated. They would act like the world had just ended and now they must find a new way of life. Its a website people, come on, can we just be productive and do something. Now for everyone who is hating me right now because of this topic and think I'm insensitive, well guess what I can be insensitive and I'm actually getting graded to do this blog so I get to rant on about the very stuff I just talked about yet I'm being productive... I love my freedom of speech haha

Picking Correctly
I could go off on how great Steve Nash is or how he's really produced for the NBA, but I'm going to talk about something better that he's taught about... Jesus.
Steve Nash has been a honest christian for a certain amount of years not mentioned. He puts on about 4 charity events a year. He attempts to make everyone happy, not for his own fame but for the success of others.
Steve Nash has been a role model of mine for about 4 years and he really loves what he does and does what he loves. We should all take him as an example. Doing things we don't love doing why do it at all? I'm not implying that since some of us don't love school we don't do it. I'm implying that once we pick our jobs...
we pick one we love.

Should People Get A Second Chance In Life?
One of the biggest questions in life is, "should people deserve a second chance in life?" I say yes, you should learn from your mistakes in life, and if you don’t get another chance you might just keep falling further down till you lose everything you ever had. An example of this Josh Hamilton the center-fielder for the Texas Rangers; the team is currently in the World-Series. Josh was drafted in 1999 as the first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, but early into his career he was injured in a car accident. Then he started to hangout with some people he met at a tattoo parlor. This didn't work well for him. He started doing cocaine and other drugs. He was suspended by the MLB. Soon after being suspended he went to rehab, stop using drugs, got married, and became a father. After getting married he soon started using drugs once again. He lost 50 pounds and his life was spiraling out of control. He knew if he didn’t change his life, everything would soon be over. So he changed his life and became a Christian, he and his wife got back together, and he started working out again. In 2007 the Cincinatti Reds signed Josh Hamilton in spring training; it turned out to be a great decision. That season Josh Hamilton was a top hitter for the Reds, then they traded him to Texas where he took off. He hit 32 homeruns in his first season and again this season. He is one of the best hitters and defensive players in baseball. He lost everything but was given a chance to have it all back, and when he got that chance he made good use of it. In life I think people should get second chances, whether or not the person succeeds does not matter; because at least they were given the chance at it.
Moss lands in Tennessee
Randy Moss came into the NFL in 1998 when he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings. Randy Moss had the best season a rookie could have in 1998 with 11 touchdown catches. Those 11 touchdown catches for Moss were and still are a record for a rookie. In early March of 2005, the Vikings traded Moss to the Raiders for a linebacker. Randy played the 2005-2006 seasons with the Raiders hating every moment of it. After playing those seasons with the Raiders and not producing much, the Raiders wanted to trade him to somebody. The Raiders tried talking to their rivals the Denver Broncos, but the Broncos weren't interested. Then the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots spoke up and offered deals to the Raiders. The Patriots ended up winning the talks with the Raiders and accuring Moss. The following fall of the 2007 season would be Moss's first season in New England and another recorded breaking season for him. Moss learned the Patriots playbook and played outstanding. Moss caught 23 touchdown passes from Tom Brady to set a NFL record of most touchdowns in a season. Randy Moss produced a lot more in New England then he did in Oakland. Moss started out playing for New England this season but in halfway through Week 5 the Patriots traded Moss back to the Vikings. Moss played 4 weeks with the Vikings going 1-3 with them. The Vikings decided to put Moss on the waivers becuase of Moss's apparent behavior to his old team. The Tennessee Titans were the 26th team on the waiver list, they took the chance and picked him up. We will all see how Randy Moss will fit into the Titans offense.

Food for Thought
Jeremiah 29:11,
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. "
What is our purpose in life? What does God have in store for us? Do we decide what our purpose is or does someone else? For me, I will discover my purpose and let God lead me on the right path. What about you? What will you decide? Do you know your purpose? And when you find that purpose, will you continue to be curious about what God's plans are for you? I know I will always be curious until the day I can ask Him, there are many things I would like to ask the Lord.
John 3:16,
"For God so loved that world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Giants World Series Champs
Giant teammates swarm onto the field after the final out. |
Now moving onto the World Series, everything before mattered because the Giants had won both Series as the Rangers did. The Giants were the diffident under dog coming into the Series, because the Rangers had great pitching and offense, while the Giants hadn't been scoring manyof runs, and their pitching had been pretty lucky. Cliff Lee, the Rangers star pitcher had 9 days rest coming into Game 1 of the Series. All that rest didn't help Cliff Lee, he ended up pitching one of his worst games of the year and the Giants took an early 1-0 Series lead. The Giants never looked back, winning Game 2, losing Game 3, and wining Game's 4 and 5.
Congrats to all the Giants players!

Misfits
If you watched, or heard about, the final game of the World Series last night you would know that the San Francisco Giants beat the Texas Rangers. Everyone addressed them as a bunch of misfits, underdogs, and how they had no shot at winning. One of their players wanted to grow up to be rodeo clown, one's so superstitious he wore pink underwear to every one of his games, and one player even walked into the stadium with a bow-tie and his real hair down past his shoulders.
No one likes the misfits. If you've seen one of the classic Christmas movie you would know the Island of Misfit Toys. The misfits are the ones that people think have no use or have no good quality to them. Fortunately for the misfits, God always helps them be successful. The San Francisco Giants are the new World Series champions. After the final strike, the unnecessarily bearded pitcher looked up to God and made a cross with his arms, then started to celebrate.
After everything we (the misfits) have been through God has been beside us in all of our journies

Amazing
*Flashback*
I am at the Olympics in February and I am just enjoying the beautiful and sometimes wretched attempts of the trying athletes. While I'm here I didn't text anyone or spaced out to the TV. For the first time in a while I'm present. I enjoyed the Olympics even though I was surrounded by ecstatic Canadians.
Tonight I'm going to a laser show in the city centre or some cool outside showplex thingy.

*After the Laser Show*
Only one word to describe that show. Wow. The actors (or stuntmen) came down on zip line dressed as a hockey goalie. It was amazing. There was a song that was playing while some lady was a waving a Canadian flag around. It was very sentimental.
*Back to the Present Day*
From the Olympics in Canada to watching World Cup in Mexico, my year has been pretty hectic. But after all the events that happen in our lives we happen to remember the little moments that some we would forgot and move on. There are the little tiny moments that God grabs our hearts and He doesn't let us forget them.
