Most kids these days are getting loads of homework, even 2nd and 3rd graders are getting two to three hours of homwork per night. When I was in 2nd and 3rd grade I sure didn't have that much homework assigned. The Classic Kid says "If a parent gives the school their kid for 6 1/2 hours, I expect the kid to learn all he needs to know in that amount of time. Just like if I give my car to a mechanic I expect it to be fixed when I get it back." The Midshipman "Hates it." Santa's Elf feels that "If a kid doesn't finish what is assigned in class, then they should finish it. But a teacher should not assign more work for kids to do after class."
